Join master butcher, Ian Shaw, of Ellis Butchers, McLaren Vale in a creative day of sausage making at The Producers of McLaren Vale. Using local Fleurieu Peninsula Meats, including beef, turkey, rabbit, chicken, lamb and seafood, and Fresh Local Produce such as olives, fetta, fruits, vegetables,herbs and spices, patrons work is small groups to create their own flavour blends. Ian then teaches patrons how to sharpen knives, butcher a chicken, and demonstrates the butchering of a whole lamb. The course includes morning and afternoon tea, and a generous lunch and wine tasting. Sausages (2.5kg) and one free range chicken is prepared within the classis packed and taken home by the patrons of the course. |
